A quick update
This week we wrapped up the Spring chapter of my Seasonal Series. We met every week to talk about the season through the elements, metaphor, yoga, and literature. The idea was to move slower, without the intensity of training, and explore how we can find examples of “theory” in our day.
The Summer Series will be the same structure: four weeks of practice, common rooms, a workshop, a private, and study material. Summer is our most yang season. Elementally, it is the fire of contact, visibility, and expression. If spring was about figuring out where you are, summer is making yourself available to have the experience.

Teaching updates —
I’m on retreat next week, and I won’t be teaching any of my regular zoom classes. Everything resumes on June 1st.
I eventually finished Lost Lambs and while I’m not inclined to dissuade anyone from reading, I do think that I need to exercise a little more discretion when it comes to “hype reads”.
I am about to finish Arlington Park by Rachel Cusk. The book chronicles a single day in the lives of five women living in an English suburb, exploring their routines and feelings of disappointment and hope. It’s full of observations and has so much in it to relate to.
If you are looking for something to read, Kyle Miller (cc: Tenon Movement) and I agreed to buddy up and read East of Eden by John Steinbeck together. If you get yourself a copy, join us! We’re starting this week.
